A dog certainly qualifies to be man’s best animal friend but this can only be true if good proper pet dog care is directed towards the dog. A lot of people find it to be very cool to own a dog maybe because it does its best to endear itself to humans or because of it unwavering loyalty once proper attention is shown. A pet dog has over the centuries been respected as a guard to its owner as well as a loyal friend. It is for these reasons that it should be treated in the most humane way if man is to expect this good loyal friend to be there always.
Giving good pet dog care should start at an early age so as to have the best of behaviours in the dog. A pet dog owner should ensure that their puppies are exposed to as many scenarios in the homestead as possible; this helps the puppy to adapt to the environment more easily. Just like humans a dog owner should be patient with their puppy because they have varying intelligent levels. At this stage a puppy will be most vulnerable and will need most attention and care. The proper puppy diet should be administered if the puppy is expected to grow to be the good loyal healthy friend expected of him.
The most important aspect of dog’s life is good food that will keep it healthy and strong. If poor food is fed to the dog then it becomes more susceptible to common diseases like pneumonia and retardation. Most of the dog’s meals should have a lot of proteins to help keep them strong. Of course the owner should give the dog other nutrients like vitamins carbohydrates and minerals to keep it healthy. For proper dog care the owner should seek some feeding advice from the dog food stockist or the very many review websites that give advice on proper pet dog care.
As an important aspect of a dog’s life physical exercise should never be underestimated. Failure to exercise will lead to it being obese and this will eventually render it useless to the owner. One should take a dog for a walk as frequently as possible and it should have a collar that bears its name, its owner’s name and address just in case it gets lost. This is not to say that the dog should be walked without a leash.
Good dog care won’t be complete if grooming is not included. A dog not groomed well will have the unwelcoming smell that will make it hard even for the owner to relate with well. Once or twice a week grooming should do.
It should always be noted that fleas and ticks like to attack dogs very much. Proper care should be taken to free the dog off these parasites and if possible using the natural methods would be the best. Regular visits to the vet are always encouraged for good pet dog care.
