Without proper pet dog care a dog can very easily catch illnesses or in very extreme cases run away from their owner’s home. Being one of the few animals that actually relates with humans well it would be sad to hear anyone mistreating a dog. Anyone who wishes to have a pet dog must be prepared to provide it with a good diet, physical exercise as well as teaching it the basic things that they need it to understand. All this will be easy for a dog owner if they have enough patience with the dog because eventually the dog comes around to doing exactly as they owner teaches t to do.

A dog should be checked regularly for ticks and fleas probably once or twice a day if the dog is known to wander out in the woods. Though the presence of ticks and fleas on dogs doesn’t mean a disease should follow it is always good to try and remove such threats early enough. It is mostly advisable to get rid of the pests naturally than using chemicals which not only can affect the dos skin but the members of the family especially when they touch it. The most ideal way of eradicating ticks is neatly mowing the grass in the homestead and disinfecting the areas that are thought to harbour fleas. Regular visits to the veterinary doctor are also advisable for the best pet dog care to be maintained.
A dog’s diet should be keenly observed as no one wishes to have a sickly weak dog around. All it needs to have a strong happy dog is to give it good healthy food. The cheap dog food in the local stores is not advisable but one should always check if the right nutrients are incorporated in the it. If the food is cheap and contains the right ingredients plus of course if the food comes from a reliable source or factory then there would be no reason not to buy the food.
Good pet dog care will be incomplete without considering the population of the dogs. Spaying and neutering are always encouraged f a dog owner is not interested in rearing young puppies. Spaying for the males can be done when the puppies are 5 or 6 weeks old while neutering can be done when the puppy is still young.
